Next up, time to visit our second attraction - the iconic Merlion. 👅

After we got out of the cabin, we started making our way over to the Merlion statue! Once again, there were signs everywhere to guide us to the Merlion, which was great too!
At this point of time, I was looking forward to visit that attraction as I haven't been there before my entire life and I was really curious about how the Merlion's interior would look like.

Once again, girls being girls, we took out our phones to take photos along the way because we were so in love with the greenery! 😍

The 37 metres tall Merlion was incredibly massive. Oh my, I could see it from afar! There were a lot of tourists gathering at the foot of the Merlion to take pictures.
Remember when I said this iconic statue has more fans than you and I? I was right! Everyone were so engaged in taking photos with the statue. Before entering the attraction, I heard a group of tourists saying "The Merlion's really pretty!", I guess it's just really nice to hear what the tourists had to say about our iconic creature.

At the entrance, there was this really cute miniature sized Merlion statue for us to take pictures with! The lady at the entrance passed us our card, for us to exchange and get our lucky coin at the end of the attraction. I thought this souvenir service was really interesting, as we could keep it as a memento even after we're done with the attraction!

Look at how nice this rock wall is! That wall was the first thing we saw the moment we entered and I would say the interior of this attraction was well designed and decorated. The lighting inside was really pretty too, there were pink and blue lighting that added a lot more atmosphere to the whole room. Perfect for photo taking! 😂

There was a walkway leading us to a mini theatre room and a short video about Sang Nila Utama and how the Merlion was found. Together in the room with us, there were two tourists that seemed really engrossed in the video and after talking to them, we found out they were from USA! Here's a little snippet from the video!
I have to say, this video increased the overall appeal for this attraction by a lot as this video will be able to educate tourists and let them know more about our country. I could tell the two tourists enjoyed the video. Well, even I did! I was really excited throughout the whole video as it made me look forward to explore other parts of the Merlion. 😋
I guess the Merlion has a lot of effective demand as most tourists would be curious to know more about our history and have the intention to visit this attraction.
After the video, it was time to finally exchange our card to get the prosperity coin. We inserted the card into the mini Merlion statue to get our coin!

After getting our coins and taking photos with the Merlion statues, we made our way up to the top to see the wonderful view. We even posed at the mouth of the Merlion!

As you can see, the panoramic view was really picturesque. There were a lot other tourists on top taking photos of the view and of themselves as well!
However, there's one thing that disappointed me a little. As mentioned earlier, I was really excited to visit the Merlion attraction because it was my first time, but it was not as fascinating as I expected it to be. Although the video was interesting, and the view was perfect, but there wasn't anything else for us to do. It would've been better if there were more interactive exhibits or short films for us to be entertained with!
